Quality Assurance

BONDS International in the selection of our translating staff has established an extremely rigorous trial process with only approximately 1 in every 200 applicants meeting our required standards. This ensures that the employees who were able to overcome this hurdle not only have a strong medical background which is assumed but also are recognized as preeminent experts in their fields with long careers at a pharmaceutical company, medical equipment maker, public authority related to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare or at a research facility linked to an internationally recognized university. At present we have approximately 800 registered translators who are able to provide the highest quality work in approximately 40 languages.
At BONDS International our translators are ranked as either A+, A, B, etc. and are further divided into 72 specialized areas to ensure that only a person fully qualified in the specific area performs the work. This focus by our company on HR management allows us to provide a superior translator regardless of the specialized field even when the work is extremely urgent.

Specialized Database Creation

At BONDS International we have accumulated a vast amount of data from our previously completed assignments together with client feedback that we fully utilize in the creation of a database unique to each of our clients. Through inputting specific terms and phrases and using our search system at the time of each translation, conformity in the terminology of all documents provided to each specific client and department is ensured. Our database creation systems in addition to meeting ICH guidelines also utilize a variety of term defining glossaries including but not limited to MedDRA. Further we are also able to fully incorporate any client provided glossaries and match the writing style contained in supplied reference materials to ensure client specific uniformity.

Translator Information

Where desired BONDS International is happy to provide the client with the resume of the translator who will or has performed the work on the client’s behalf. As the delivered documents include the initials of the translator who performed the work in the comments column, where the document is one in a series, by requesting the same translator to perform subsequent work, BONDS International is able to ensure complete uniformity not just in terms and phrasing but also in style and interpretation. This system ensures both continuity and high quality.

Follow Up Service

At BONDS International we are committed to providing a comprehensive follow up service. While we have in place a comprehensive quality assurance system, in the unlikely event that for whatever reason a client is dissatisfied with the work delivered, BONDS International will perform an initial revision for no additional fee.

Nondisclosure Agreements

BONDS International, before performing any work for a client, enters into a “Nondisclosure Agreement” with that client. Further not just our translators, but all other employees from our native speaking proofreaders through to general office staff have also entered into a nondisclosure agreement which places them under the same obligations as those contained within the agreements entered into between our company and clients. As all data and other materials received from our clients in order to complete any assignment is treated, managed, stored and maintained with the highest degree of confidentiality and is also compartmentalized to limit access on a strictly need to know basis, our clients are able to make initial inquires with full confidence that the confidentiality of all information is ensured.
